Julia Roberts designs charity bracelet
JULIA ROBERTS HAS teamed up with long-term friend Giorgio Armani to design a charity bracelet for the designer's Emporio label.
The Oscar winning actress collaborated on the red leather bracelet, which will be sold on emporioarmani.com from 1 December, World's AIDS Day. It features an imprinted tree-for-life motif, and the words Revolution-Evolution-Devotion.
The women's red version will be sold for $175, with the man's brown leather version retailing for $195. All proceeds will benefit (PRODUCT) RED, the initiative founded by Bono and Bobby Shriver to help fight AIDS in Africa. Armani was a launch partner with the charity venture, and has since created clothing, jewellery and accessories to help raise funds for the project.
Speaking of the collaboration Armani commented: 'Julia has helped to create a beautiful accessory for both women and men, which will also be a visible reminder of the part we can all play in fighting AIDS in Africa.'

Dear Friends: I also saw the show last week, withe Julia Roberts showing the bracelets. They are certainly beautifully & I would love to purchase one for myself, & one for my son (who is gay), but they are out of my price range. I agree with the last comment, would they not sell more if they were priced a little lower for the average consumer. I hope this comment will produce some changes in the price. Thank you.

I was watching the Today Show when Julie Roberts was on and she was wearing the (Product)Red Bracelet.
I have purchased Red products before and was truly interested in the bracelet - it would have been something I would have enjoyed wearing but at that price I will not have the opportunity. I feel it is priced for the higher income consumer and not for the average consumer. Maybe I'm way off but I'm sure there are other people who would love to wear the bracelet and support the cause but the cost out weighs the average income.
Do you not think that the quantity sold would benefit this cause more, by being more affordable for the average consumer or is Armani only wanting to reach the higher income consumer?
Just a thought
