Ellen Pompeo ties the knot

GREY'S ANATOMY STAR Ellen Pompeo has tied the knot with her record producer partner, Chris Ivery, in New York.

The actress maintained she wouldn't have a huge wedding - and she stuck to her guns with a small ceremony at New York City Hall, with Mayor, Michael Bloomberg, and Deputy Mayor, Patti Harris, as witnesses.

Pompeo, 38, and Ivery became engaged last November after three years of dating.

During an interview in August, Ellen, who plays Dr. Meredith Grey on the hit ABC show, revealed the couple didn't want a big wedding because 'we want one thing for ourselves'.
