THE TUMULTOUS WORLD of Britney Spears has taken another downhill turn as US reports claim she has failed a court-appointed drugs test.

The singer returned a positive sample last week, however, Spears maintains she is clean and the reading must be wrong.

Some US sites claim the test only showed a reading for prescription drugs, which were cleared by the judge.

Meanwhile, Kevin Federline is set to subpoena Spears for her latest example of reckless driving.

The star is said to have been filmed jumping a red light, while holding her mobile phone, at a busy intersection. Sons Sean Preston and Jayden James were asleep in the back seat at the time.
