Mayor of New York to appear in Sex and the City: The Movie

NEW YORK CITY'S real-life Mr Big – the mayor Michael Bloomberg – is set to appear as himself in the hotly-anticipated Sex and the City: The Movie.



His spokesman, Stu Loeser, has confirmed Bloomberg filmed the cameo in Manhattan's Bryant Park on Tuesday evening. The nature of his part is not fully clear, but it's thought it is a non-speaking, walk-by role, rather than a full-on interaction with the camera.



The movie, which sees the original stars of the show – Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon - get back together for the big screen, is due for release next May.



Billionaire and political independent Bloomberg is not the first mayor to appear alongside the girls – former mayor Ed Koch appeared in the Sex and the City TV series back in 2001.
