Daniel Craig nets £30m for Bond films

DANIEL CRAIG WILL return to our screens for four more James Bond films, after netting a £30 million contract from MGM studios.

The contract is record breaking for the franchise, and will make Craig the highest paid Bond actor of all time. Craig's first outing as James, in 2006's Casino Royale, became the highest grossing Bond film of all time, taking £13 million in Britain alone on its opening weekend.

Craig's second Bond film is due for release next year, on 7 November 2008. The contract is likely to mean that Craig will be playing the role for at least the next decade.
