Swarovski Fashion Rocks
IT WAS THE hottest ticket in London last night: Swarovski Fashion Rocks drew in the biggest A-list crowd seen in the capital for some time.
The biggest surprise of the night was the sensational comeback of Whitney Houston. Her appearance had been kept a closely guarded secret right up until her emergence on stage to introduce popstrels the Sugababes performing Lady Marmalade with Patti La Belle.
Dressed in a dazzling Valentino gown, the star showed no signs of her drug-addled past, glowing in a coffee-coloured fur coat.
She did, however, recognise her troubles down the years and thanked her fans saying: 'I know it's been said before but I want to say it again - thank you for your support and, yes, I will always love you.'

The charity bash saw Gwyneth Paltrow present designer Valentino with an award for his contribution to the fashion industry as he bows out of the limelight and into retirement.
Meanwhile, Kate Moss showed she can still party with the best of them. Following her Christmas Topshop collection launch party earlier in the week, the supermodel arrived at Fashion Rocks wearing a stunning Twenties-style Topshop gown made of 60,000 Swarovski crystals. At an estimated cost of £40,000, the frock will go on sale on eBay today with all money raised going to the Prince's Trust.
Finally, there always has to be a few fashion horrors amongst the superglam celebrities and Uma Thurman took it upon herself to take that crown wearing a sheer, sparkling Valentino gown – which was virtually see-through. Clearly the star-studded event didn't put the actress off wanting to show off her best assets... (19 October 2007)
