Spice Girls to star in Tesco TV advert

THE SPICE GIRLS will pick up £1 million each for poking fun at themselves in a new TV advert for Tesco.

The reformed popstrels, who kick off a world tour in December, are set to appear in the ad just before Christmas.

One source told the Daily Mirror: 'Tesco is one of the tour sponsors and has been desperate to get them in an advert. They will be sending themselves up, in the tradition of the old Jane Horrocks ads, and viewers should find it funny.'

The ad is expected to be shown soon after the band's greatest hits album is released on 12 November.

Let's just hope they've polished their acting skills since Spiceworld.
