Victoria Wood and Stephen Fry are among the British nominees for this year's International Emmy Awards.
Wood is up for Best Actress for her role in Houswife, while Fry's The Secret Life of a Manic Depressive sees him score in the documentary category.
In total, UK productions have been nominated for eight awards, including two for BBC drama, The Street.
The 38 nominees in nine categories were announced by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences at a news conference in Cannes, France.
Brazil gained seven nominations, Japan has four, South Africa has three, while Germany, Denmark, China and the Netherlands all have two each.
The Street, which follows the lives of different residents of one residential road, is nominated for Best Drama Series, while Oscar-winner Jim Broadbent is up for Best Actor for his role as an embittered pensioner.
The awards honour TV produced outside the US, and winners will be revealed on 19 November in New York.
