Julia Roberts talks of love for husband
JULIA ROBERTS SAYS she's still hopelessly in love with her husband, Danny Moder.
Just two weeks off her 40th birthday, the actress told a star-studded crowd: 'More than anything I am just the most proud wife and mother to three of the most amazing children. And the widening of my life, and my hips, is really just the true gift of my husband Danny, who I would be so lonely without.'
The dinner, held by the American Cinematheque society in Julia's honour, attracted the likes of Tom Hanks, Natalie Portman and Bruce Willis. Denzel Washington, who presented Julia with a special award, said: 'You do an extraordinary job, extraordinarily well.'
But the evening was as much about her role as a mother and wife as it was her acting abilities. And just four months after giving birth to her third child, Julia was able to laugh at her emotional - and physical - state, grabbing her chest and joking: 'Is there a hungry baby in the house? Come on up!'
