Osbournes to hold auction of household collectibles

Marie Claire news: Has Sharon Osbourne quit X Factor?

SHARON AND OZZY OSBOURNE are gearing up to host a huge house-clearing auction of furniture, collectibles and art from their homes in Beverly Hills, England and Malibu, including pieces from the infamous MTV reality show.

The auction, to be held on 30 November, will feature son Jack's black leather bed and a cast-iron crucifix that adorned Ozzy's den in their reality show, The Osbournes, which put the family firmly back in the public eye.

'It's time to unload,' said Sharon, who celebrates her 55th birthday tomorrow. 'We just have an overabundance of possessions that we do not need.'

With their three children - Kelly, Aimee, and Jack - flying the nest, the famous couple have changed their style and moved to a new home, Sharon explained. She added that the clear-up has been 'one of the most refreshing things I've done'.

Ozzy, apparently, doesn't share her view, complaining: 'I don't know why we are selling everything as I want it all.'

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Sharon Osbourne Colon Cancer Foundation.

The sale, held by Julien's Auctions, will be held 30 November and 1 December at the Gibson Guitar Showroom in Beverly Hills. Bids can be placed in person, by phone or over the Internet.
