Ben Affleck claims Jennifer Lopez damaged his career
BEN AFFLECK HAS admitted that dating Jennifer Lopez harmed his career. The couple dated between 2002 and 2004, and were engaged during their romance.
Speaking of the period, the actor-turned-director told Details magazine, 'I ended up in an unfortunate crosshair position where I was in a relationship and [the media] mostly lied and inflated a bunch of salacious stuff for the sake of selling magazines. And I paid a certain price for that.' He added, 'It was probably bad for my career.'
Affleck is currently promoting his directorial debut, Gone Baby Gone, which he described as 'a linchpin for my life. My career.' The film revolves around the kidnapping of a young girl may not reach UK screens due to its similarities to the Madeleine McCann case.
