Joel Madden: I will marry Nicole Richie
Nicole Richie's partner Joel Madden has confirmed that he will make an honest woman of her – just not yet.
The Good Charlotte frontman told a Los Angeles radio station yesterday that marriage to the Simple Life star was on the cards.
'Obviously, marriage is in our future,' he told the KIIS-FM radio show. 'I don't know when or where or how, but right now our priority is our family and is the baby. That's all we've been thinking about. We are in love and are really happy.'
After months of unconfirmed rumours, Richie, 25, and Madden, 28, first announced that they were to become parents in late July. They have been dating since earlier this year.
Asked about becoming a father, Madden told the station: 'I'm excited. We are all really excited about it. It's the best thing that has ever happened to us. It's awesome.' He said the pair did not know whether their baby was a boy or a girl, but have already started getting the nursery ready, People.com reports.
'We've started it,' he said. 'I already went to Target and got a stroller and a playpen.'
