Nicole Kidman: I did suffer miscarriage
Nicole Kidman has spoken out about suffering a miscarriage while married to Tom Cruise.
The star told Vanity Fair she was a newlywed when the miscarriage took place, prompting the couple to adopt: 'From the minute we were married I wanted to have babies. But we lost a baby early on, so that was really very traumatic and that's when it came that we would adopt Bella.'
The star miscarried a second time after Cruise filed for divorce in 2001.
However, Nicole's early experiences haven't put her off and she says she's still hoping for more children. 'Keith knows I want one,' she said, 'and he has been getting there slowly.'
