Venice Film Festival news
Brad pitt says fatherhood is 'the most fun I've ever had and also the biggest pain in the ass I've ever experienced'. Speaking to reporters on the red carpet in Venice last night, the actor added: 'I love it and can't recommend it any more highly - although sleep is non-existent.'
With Angelina by his side, Brad was in town to premiere his new movie, The Assassination Of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford. The two posed hand-in-hand on the red carpet dressed like classic Hollywood stars: a white tux for him and black lace gown and pearls for her.
Clearly her man's biggest fan, when asked what she thought of the film, Angelina laughed: 'I'm biased but I've seen the film and I do think it's wonderful.'
It wasn't all smiles and giggles, however, with Brad booed by photographers earlier in the day when he refused to take off his sunglasses for photos. He also had a scare when a female fan lunged at him as he attempted to board a water taxi and had to be manhandled away by his security guards.
Also feeling the movie blues this morning: Woody Allen whose new flick, Cassandra's Dream, has been slated by critics at the festival.
'A humourless misfire that wastes the talents of some fine actors,' crows The Hollywood Reporter in today's edition. 'A murderous tale that is not funny, not clever and not good.'
Cassandra's Dream stars Ewan McGregor and Colin Farrell as brothers in the much anticipated Allen follow-up to Match Point, and was screened to critics in the Venice Masters sidebar of the Venice International Film Festival.
