Tensions are high on the set of Desperate Housewives after it emerged Teri Hatcher has hooked up with one of her fellow star's ex-boyfriends.

The actress has confirmed she is dating Eva Longoria's ex, director Stephen Kay. Reportedly introduced by a mutual friend (not Eva one presumes), Teri revealed her good news to the world via American TV programme Extra last week.

In an effort to dampen speculation of a fall-out, Eva's publicist, Lisa Anderson, has already released a statement, telling the star's fans: 'Eva and Tony have never been happier together, and Eva wishes the same happiness for Teri.'
