Zara Phillips and husband Mike Tindall are expecting their first child, the couple have confirmed in a statement today.
A royal spokesperson for the pair said both families are 'delighted' by the news,' adding the royal baby will be due next year.

'Mr and Mrs Mike Tindall are very pleased to announce that Zara Tindall is expecting a baby in the new year,' the statement read.
'The Princess Royal and Captain Mark Phillips, Mr Phillip and Mrs Linda Tindall, and members of both families are delighted with the news.
'This baby will be the first child for Mike and Zara and the third grandchild for the Princess Royal.'
Already congratulations to the pair have begun pouring in.
A spokesman for David Cameron said the news was 'quite terrific,' adding: 'The prime minister will send his very, very best wishes to the happy couple.'
Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall's royal baby will be 16th in line to the throne, while Prince William and Kate Middleton's will be third.
