Pippa Middleton and Cameron Diaz played style snap on two very different red carpets. But who rocked the McQueen look best?

Pippa Middleton stole the show when she stepped out in a cream Alexander McQueen creation as Kate Middleton’s Maid of Honour at the Royal Wedding on Friday, but we couldn’t shake the feeling we’d seen it before. And we had! On Cameron Diaz, at Golden Globes in 2009.

The pair played style snap on two very different red carpets, but who do YOU think rocked the look best?

PIPPA MIDDLETON STYLE HISTORY

Hollywood royalty Miss Diaz gave the form-fitting McQueen gown it’s first public outing more than a year ago at the glittering Golden Globe Awards in 2009.

Cameron chose a red version of the slinky satin dress for her award appearance, accessorising her A-list outfit with towering Ferragamo peep-toes, a glittering gold Van Cleef and Arpel, and a sweep of sizzling red lipstick.

The star also accessorised with a cleverly matched umbrella on the rainy evening.

More than a year later, the fresh-faced and dazzling younger Middleton stepped out in the very same gown as she played Maid of Honour at the wedding of the century – the nuptials of William and Kate.

Pippa kept her winter white version perfectly sleek and simple, adding towering white Jimmy Choos, drop diamond and pearl earrings - reportedly designed by her mother – and Lily of the Valley flowers in her Richard Ward-tended tresses.

Designers at McQueen also added a tiny embellished edge to Miss Middleton’s glittering gown, finishing off with a line of slinky, silk covered buttons, running the length of her spine.
