Whitney Houston offers to become Britney's lifecoach in bid to help her

WHITNEY HOUSTON WANTS to become a life coach to Britney Spears, in a bid to help her stay sober and win back her children.

The soul diva, who made a surprise appearance at last week's Swarovski Fashion Rocks, has beaten her own addiction to crack cocaine, pain killers, cannabis and alcohol, and now she is handing a lifeline to the ailing star.

Britney has been warned that she needs to spend at least six months in rehab to overcome her addictions and Whitney has offered to be there at every step. Whitney herself has gone into rehab three times and fought a difficult custody battle against ex-husband Bobby Brown.

A source close to Whitney said: 'She believes that if she can bounce back from hell, Britney can too. She's told her that she's prepared to hold her hand all the way as she does what she has to do to stop destroying her life.'

This week the 44-year-old singer faces the final stint of her bitter divorce battle, to secure sole custody of her daughter, Bobbi Kristina, 14.
