Supermodel Carla Bruni steps out with French president Nicolas Sarkozy
Her former lovers include Mick Jagger, Eric Clapton, Donald Trump and Kevin Costner. And now Carla Bruni has added another older man to the list: the French president Nicolas Sarkozy.
The Italian supermodel and the recently-divorced premiere made their first public outing over the weekend, inviting photographers to record a visit to Disneyland Paris with their respective young children from previous marriages.
Snaps of the date, which the photographers have described as intimate and highly revealing are expected to be splashed across the front pages of at least three French celebrity magazines this week.
One photographer told the Daily Mail: Although Carla is a lot taller than Mr Sarkozy, they seem like a good match. They were very much at ease and are clearly together.
According to French reports, the pair met at a dinner party held by an advertising boss in Paris last month. The pair are now planning a glitzy party to celebrate her 40th birthday on Saturday.
Sarkozy, 52, has been called Europes most eligible bachelor by French showbiz journalists since his divorce from his second wife Cecilia two months ago – and speculation about his love-life has been rife ever since.
Bruni, the Italian heiress to a tyre manufacturing fortune, turned her hand to music after a successful modelling career which earned her a reported £3.5m a year. Her second album, No Promises, was released this year.
