Westlife star Shane Filan has been declared bankrupt after his property empire crumpled
Westlife's Shane Filan has been declared bankrupt after running up debts of £18million due to his property company suffering massive losses.
It's hard to imagine that a member of one of the biggest boy bands on the planet, which sold over 45million records, could run himself into such a trouble but the singer has admitted to The Sun that he 'exhausted all the options' in a bid to save his empire.
Following the ruling at Kingston County Court in Surrey, married dad-of-three Shane added: 'I have worked long and hard to reduce my debts, and I am devastated that it came to this.'
The Irish star will sing at Westlife’s farewell shows in Dublin next week before starting a solo career, managed by Louis Walsh.
Shane said that he is 'looking to rebuild a future for my wife, my three children and myself' when the band finishes their final tour.
We wish Shane all the best!
