Kristen Stewart has opened up about why she used to stumble over her lines
Kristen Stewart may have had five films to perfect her portrayal of Bella Swan in the Twilight franchise but she had to undo all of her acting efforts for the final installment when her character transforms into a vampire.
And it was this very process that has made Kristen reflect on all the mannerisms she created for the much-loved role.
In a new clip featured on the Breaking Dawn Part 2 DVD, Kristen revealed: ‘The way I usually learn my lines is I learn the idea, which is why I stutter a lot in Twilight. Which is something that I liked now [in the final film] it’s an entirely different way of approaching a scene.’
Word stumbles aren’t the only thing that Kristen Stewart had to overcome, she adds: ‘To know that your mind works faster than Bella’s mind worked before. You speak and you already know what you’re saying and move before you even know you’re there.
‘Being a clumsy person, it’s not the easiest thing to do.’
But she certainly pulled it off with aplomb!
As the very final promotional interviews for Breaking Dawn Part 2 emerge, Kristen added what it was that made her final stab at playing Bella different to the rest: ‘I’ve been really excited about developing Bella’s vamp thing,’ she says. ‘Everyone was obsessed with how beautiful she was [but for me] it was how alive she became. She’s different, she’s special and you can feel it instantly.’
