The designer ditches her towering heels and shares her plans to start a shoe collection

If Victoria Beckham is looking a bit shorter to you, you're not going mad. The stiletto-loving designer has swapped her heels for a pair of comfy (and incredibly cute) flats.

VB was spotted in New York City on Tuesday rocking a trendy pair of black-and-white brogues. She paired the practical footwear with slim black trousers and a matching wool coat.

Perhaps Victoria's new foray into flats is research for her next project. She revealed on Monday that she's looking to create a shoe collection.

According to Fashionista.com, Beckham revealed her shoe ambitions while giving a talk at Parsons The New School for Design.

'You know, I do want to start a shoe collection,' she told the audience. 'If anybody here is a shoe designer, please do come and see me! I definitely think shoes is probably the next category that I’ll look at going into; it’s quite a competitive category but I would love to go into [it].'

She continued, 'I actually work with Manolo Blahnik on the shoes for my show every season and working with him is remarkable. I think it’s very complicated… I wouldn’t just want to do a signature shoe - I’d have to make sure I’m working with the right factories, do a flat...'

Sounds like a step in the right direction!
