Victoria Beckham is to receive the honour at Eva Longoria's Global Gift Gala

Victoria Beckham will be named Philanthropreneur Of The Year at a special awards ceremony in London next month, adding the interesting new title to her already quite full CV.

The prize will be presented at Eva Longoria’s Global Gift Gala event on 17th November and acknowledges the designer’s work as both a philanthropist and businesswoman with charities like Born Free Africa, the British Red Cross, mothers2mothers, Save the Children and the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

‘It is a great honour to be receiving the Global Gift Philanthropreneur Award at this special event,’ said Victoria of the news. ‘I am very much looking forward to returning to The Global Gift Gala to support my good friend Eva Longoria.’

The honour comes just a week after VB was named Global Goodwill Ambassador for the UN’S UNAIDS campaign and gave a moving speech to the United Nations General Assembly.

The celebratory evening will also include a charity auction conducted by Lord Archer, proceeds from which will be donated to The Eva Longoria Foundation, which promotes women’s education and entrepreneurship and the Ricky Martin Foundation, which aims to combat child exploitation. Previous recipients of the prize include steel magnate and Arsenal football club stakeholder Farhad Moshiri and Alejandro Ramírez Magaña, CEO of Latin American film company Cinépolis.

‘It will be a huge pleasure to honour my dear friend, Victoria, and to celebrate her outstanding charitable work,’ said Eva Longoria, chair of the Global Gift Gala. ‘This event recognises prominent figures who dedicate their time and energy to helping those who need it most.’
