Victoria Beckham has been munching on a type of seaweed to burn even more calories

Victoria Beckham never fails to look anything but fabulous and London Fashion Week was no exception but to ensure she stays that way she’s been introducing new super food bladderwrack into her diet.

The plant is a type of seaweed and has been dubbed the new slimming superfood because if contains vast quantities of iodine that dramatically increase your metabolic rate and enables you to burn even more calories.

It was originally used to treat under active thyroids but it’s believed Victoria Beckham prefers to take her dose in special seaweed and algae shakes, although you can drink it as tea or gently cook it by steaming or boiling.

The diet rules out acidic-forming foods including all dairy products, meat, fish, pasta, wheat and beans and it goes without saying alcohol and caffeine are also banned.

We’re not sure we could stomach that, but we’ll give the bladderwrack a go – would you?
