Twilight trio R-Patz, K-Stew and Taylor Lautner to miss VMAs

Ashley Green will be representing the Cullen clan and is set to present an award at the ceremony this weekend.

Sad news Twi-hards! MTV’s VMA Awards are set to be an (almost) Twilight free zone this weekend, after top trio Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner have all confirmed they won’t be attending.

Our favourite three Twi stars hit the Video Music Awards last year to present the official New Moon trailer.

But with Eclipse still showing in cinemas and filming for Breaking Dawn yet to commence, it seems Twilight’s top three have decided to stay away from this year’s ceremony.

Reports suggest R-Patz has jetted off to sunnier climes to enjoy a well-deserved break after finishing upcoming flick, Water For Elephants, while Kristen is still hard at work shooting On the Road, and Taylor Lautner is filming action thriller, Abduction.

Instead, Ashley Greene will be representing the Cullen clan at the celebrated Video Music Awards this Sunday, where it has been confirmed she’ll also take to the stage to present a prize during the evening.

It’s thought muscley heartthrob Kellan Lutz could also be in the audience.

Lady Gaga, Florence and the Machine and Eminem will go head to head for Video of the Year at the celeb-packed event, while Justin Bieber, Jason Derulo and Ke$ha will fight it out for Best Newcomer.
