While most would be happy with an autograph from Hollywood veteran Tom Hanks, one lucky couple had their tickets refunded by the star after admitting they didn't like his latest film.
Oscar winner Hanks had been chatting with the two moviegoers while filling up his car at a petrol station near his home in Pacific Palisades, California, when they told him they had just been to see his film Larry Crowne.
When Hanks asked them what they thought of the movie the man replied 'wasn't that good.' His wife tried to ease the situation, of course, by explaining that compared to his other blockbusters, Larry Crowne was a disappointment.
The National Enquirer reports that Hanks replied: 'Gee, I'm sorry you were disappointed, how about letting me refund your ticket money?', before pulling $25 out of his pocket and handing it to the bewildered couple.
The movie, also starring Julia Roberts, was both co-written and directed by Hanks, but didn't do well at the box office, with critics heavily slating the romantic comedy about a middle-age man returning to college.
