The Saturday night favourite won the gong for Best Talent Programme, with all the judges, plus lovely winner Joe McElderry getting up on stage to accept the award.

Simon took to the mic to thank viewers, before persuading a reluctant Cheryl to do the same.

‘It’s my first time at something like this so I don’t really know what to say but thank you to everybody who watches it – thank you so much,’ the glowing star said.
