Prince William has just secured his spot as one of our favourite party-loving royals of all time after his epic stage performance at last night's Winter Whites Centrepoint Gala at Kensington Palace.

The 31-year-old Duke of Cambridge let his royal guard down for one night only as he took to the stage with legendary US rocker Jon Bon Jovi and Grammy award-winning singer Taylor Swift for a rousing rendition of the classic karaoke song, Livin' On A Prayer.

Dressed in a dapper black tie tuxedo, William sidled up to the microphone alongside the two seasoned professionals before putting his all into the high-energy Palace performance in front of 600 gobsmacked guests.

And from what we heard, he even broke out a spot of on-stage air guitar... Amazing.

23-year-old Taylor, who looked gorgeously angelic in a glittering white lace and tulle gown by Kate Middleton favourite's favourite designer, Jenny Packham, was clearly ecstatic to be sharing the stage with British royalty as she threw her hands up in the air and grinned widely at her new VIP karaoke companion.

And William didn't stop at singing, either. Fellow partygoer Olivia Sabat, who was about to perform at the gala concert alongside Swift and Bon Jovi, revealed how the Duke had also joked about his twerking abilities as he met with those who had been helped by the homeless charity.

'He was like: "Would it put you off if I was dancing?' and I said "No, I want you to listen - dancing and listening",' Olivia told The Telegraph.

Prince William hosted the star-studded winter-themed event in London to support homeless charity Centrepoint, of which he's been a patron since 2005.

Other guests at the party included Benedict Cumberbatch, Jonathan Ross, Downton Abbey's Michelle Dockery, James Blunt, Eliza Doolittle, Radio 1 DJ Sara Cox and Tinie Tempah.

Danielle Alexandra, gala convenor, revealed that the event took six months to create. 'But really it all comes down to the prince, who is a remarkable man,' she said. 'He wanted to do whatever he could to help the cause.'

21-year-old Trouble singer Taylor Swift also spoke out about her meeting with the second-in-line to the throne. Describing her evening with Will, she laughed: 'He was very funny. I was really happy he was funny.'

The Duchess of Cambridge, who sadly missed her husband's epic performance at the glittering gala, was safely nestled in their newly-renovated 20-room apartment next door looking after their four-month-old son, Prince George.

We predict she's going to have a lot of fun playing catch up today...
