Could there be a celebrity feud on the way? Louis Walsh and Simon Cowell both sniped at Cheryl during London's live shows

Could there be an X Factor feud brewing? Cheryl Cole (or Tweedy) was left red faced at the latest round of auditions, after fellow judges Simon and Louis took aim at her singing career.

The panel - who were booed by fans for their late arrival - were attending the final round of auditions at the ExCel Centre in London.

And after getting off to a bad start, the sniping soon began.

Cheryl's hackles were first raised when a four-piece girl band took to the stage.

Ignoring his fellow judge's singing history, Simon said to the girls: ‘I bet you only like American groups, like Destiny's Child.'

Of course, they agreed. But after an awkward silence, one of the band members finally added that they liked Girls Aloud, too.

Oh dear!

And things went from bad to worse when a male model stepped out on to the stage for a cringe-worthy rendition of Cheryl's hit, Fight For This Love.

'Great song choice,' the songstress joked to the contestant.

But Louis soon stepped in with a catty remark, quipping, 'that was about as good as you can do it live.'

Ouch!

Cheryl was widely criticised for her performance on the X Factor last year, after choosing to pre-record her vocals, rather than singing live.

And now insiders reveal Cheryl has taken the judges' harsh comments to heart.

'Their nasty comments really hit a nerve with her,' one insider said.

'She's never been fully confident about her singing ability, especially since launching her solo career and not having the other girls on stage.

'To be humiliated in front of thousands of people by Simon and Louis was really a step too far.'

Should Cheryl have sung live last year? Let us know your thoughts in the comments box below.
