Chef Gordon Ramsay has prepared a DIY Christmas lunch cook book for close friends David and Victoria Beckham

Gordon Ramsay has prepared a DIY Christmas lunch ‘fools guide’ for close friends David and Victoria Beckham, according to reports.

THE BECKHAM FAMILY ALBUM

Normally the celebrity chef is on hand to cook the Beckham family up a Christmas feast, but this year Gordon Ramsay will be hosting a live cook-a-long on Channel 4.

David and Victoria are close friends with TV chef Gordon and his wife Tana, and the two families and the children have spent Christmas Day together for the last few years.

Not wanting to leave the Beckhams in a Christmas day panic, by means of an alternative, Ramsay has mustered up a gourmet Christmas how-to guide for Victoria and David Beckham to follow.

The ‘fools guide’ is supposedly a blueprint of how to master each part of Christmas lunch and includes his Michelin-star insider tricks of the trade.

A source told the Mirror, ‘It’s really sad that the two families can’t spend Christmas together this year, not least because having Gordon oversee things in the kitchen always resulted in an incredible meal.

‘He and David have been talking about what they are going to do without him – so Gordon has drawn up a few pointers for them and it’s gone down a storm.’

The Beckhams flew back to the UK from LA last week to spend the holidays at their mansion in Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire, and it is of course a special one for the family since it’s baby Harper Seven’s first Christmas.

For the rest of us who don’t have a personalised Ramsay guide, Gordon’s Christmas Cookalong Live will air on Channel 4 at 10am, and features recipes to master salmon parcels, a festive trifle and the all important turkey.
