Taylor Swift’s eventful love life has been at the brunt of the US comic’s jokes

Taylor Swift and her love life were the subject of yet another joke this week, as American comedienne Chelsea Handler waded into the debate over the country crooner’s relationship history.

Earlier this week Taylor Swift fought back over jibes about the number of men she’s dated, which Tina Fey and Amy Poehler pointed out as their stint as hosts at the Golden Globes.

In response to Taylor’s reaction, Chelsea Handler opted to make light of the situation and mock the singer’s short-lived romances. Speaking on the Watch What Happens Live show, she joked: ‘My theory about Taylor Swift is that she's a virgin, that everyone breaks up with her because they date her for two weeks and she's like, "I'm not gonna do it."’

The joking continued as Chelsea began to recite one of Taylor’s hit songs adding: ‘And they're like, "Oh, well, forget it. Then I don't want to date you.” Every guy thinks they're going to de-virginise her, and they're not. She's never going to get de-virginised, ever, ever, ever, ever.’

The comments come after an interview with Taylor Swift in Vanity Fair, where she responded to a question about ‘mean girls’ in Hollywood saying: ‘There's a special place in hell for women who don't help other women.’

Outspoken Chelsea Handler also decided to react to this dubbing it a ‘bold statement’ before saying: ‘I like that she's being that vociferous about something that she thinks they were out to get her.

‘They were clearly making a joke just about her demeanour, which is embarrassing. I mean, she's just dated so many men. I'm not on anyone's side because I just don't care enough.'
