Solange Knowles Hits Back At Instagram Haters

The singer responded to a woman who criticised her son, Julez.

There are some terrible people out there in the world. Like the woman who took it upon herself to call Solange Knowles’ 11-year-old son ‘ugly’ on Instagram this week.

When Solange posted a picture of Julez to the social network she captioned it: ‘Young cool J too cool for ghost and goblins.’ Referencing the fact that he’d decided to dress in a tracksuit rather than a traditional Halloween costume (yep, we'd already forgotten Halloween was this weekend).

However, one of the singers followers then cruelly commented: ‘So cute but at the same time he ugly.’ But what the woman probably wasn’t expecting though was that Solange herself would reply to the comment.

The mum-of-one hit back saying: ‘Jussst as I thought it was safe to share pictures again, a young’n like you decides to use her time to spread ugliness.

'I don’t fault you, I can only imagine why you would feel the need to say such things, but thanks again for being a reminder that out of all the love and wonderful energy shared, that when I open up a space for an innocent beautiful being like my boy to be criticized and judged, that I WILL most likely respond, and that he receives enough love and celebration at home that it’s just not worth it to go down this road.’

She went on to add: ‘I hope that this really resonates with you and you make better decisions in the future towards how you use your words towards innocent children. And @ro.rxd get ya friend because this could have truly gone south if I was in the wrong mood.’ Yeah, take that Instagram lady.

Julez is Solange’s son from her first marriage to Daniel Smith, whom she wed when she was just 17. They later divorced and she is now about to celebrate her one year wedding anniversary with her second husband Alan Ferguson. Many of her other fans were quick to jump to Julez defence calling him, 'adorable,' and 'handsome'. Again, take that Instagram lady.
