Tell-all Sex and the City book set to reveal all the behind-the-scenes secrets

The secrets behind Sex and the City are set to be revealed, in a new tell-all book.

Author Clifford Streit is the former manager of Candace Bushnell, the original Carrie Bradshaw, who wrote the Sex and the City columns that eventually became the TV show.

The book is entitled Unbecoming Stanford, referring to the fact that Carrie's gay best friend Stanford Blatch was based on Streit, and will feature plenty of behind-the-scenes gossip on the show and its four stars.

Leaked details reveal Streit will divulge two of the shows on-screen lovers actually carried out a real life affair away from the cameras, and also details of the feud that developed on set between Kim Cattrall and the other three leading ladies. Streit claims that problems arose because Cattrall was, 'a natural comedienne, and a scene-stealer in the best possible sense - the camera went right to her.'

Streit also reveals that executive producer Darren Star passed on the chance to cast Ashton Kutcher, and that he confided, 'I don't see this kid going anywhere.'

The book is currently doing the rounds with New York publishing houses but no publishing date is currently confirmed.
