Bye bye Carrie locks

Remember those signature long locks Sarah Jessica Parker is known for? Well they’re no more, as the actress has chopped it all off and we actually really love it.

The Divorced actress showed off a sleek wavy bob (or wob if you’re in the know) as she filmed scenes for her new movie, Unfollow The Rules in New York.

As well as going shorter, the 52-year-old actress also sported a lighter shade than her usual honey blonde tone as she displayed her new brighter platinum blonde locks.

To match the sleek do, she wore a sparkling midi dress and chic heels as she walked down the street, and she later changed into an equally glam pleated skirt and shirt.

We think the new style suits her perfectly and is a great update for summer too. Plus it reminds us of the do Carrie Bradshaw rocked in Season 5 of Sex And The City.

She also shared the look on her Instagram, captioning the picture, ‘I'm her, Vivienne Day 1 "Unfollow The Rules" X, SJ’

Fans were quick to praise SJP's new hairstyle, with comments such as 'I love your new hair style! Reminds me of Sex and the City' and 'why does SJP have to give me hair envy?!'

This probably means she only changed her hair for her new role, and might go back to her longer locks post-filming, but either way, she’ll always looks abso-fuckin-lutely fabulous to us.

Penny grew up in France and studied languages and law at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris before moving to the UK for her MA in multimedia journalism at Bournemouth University. She moved to the UK permanently and has never looked back (though she does go back regularly to stock up on cheese and wine).

Although she's always loved fashion - she used to create scrapbooks of her favourite trends and looks, including Sienna Miller and Kate Moss' boho phase - her first job was at MoneySavingExpert.com, sourcing the best deals for everything from restaurants to designer sales.

However she quit after two years to follow her true passion, fashion journalism, and after many years of internships and freelance stints at magazines including Red, Cosmopolitan, Stylist and Good Housekeeping, landed her dream job as the Digital Fashion Editor at Marie Claire UK.

Her favourite part of the job is discovering new brands and meeting designers, and travelling the world to attend events and fashion shows. Seeing her first Chanel runway IRL at Paris Fashion Week was a true pinch-me moment.
