The star is launching her very own line of books

It seems there's no stopping Sarah Jessica Parker when it comes to taking over the business world. First she announced she is releasing a line of LBDs, and her new show Divorce gets it so right.

Now the star has a *very* exciting new venture, which will see her bring a little bit of Sex and the City into the real world by launching her own line of fiction books.

Announcing her new job title as editorial director of SJP at Hogarth Publishing, Sarah Jessica Parker won't actually be writing any of the books herself, but will be seeking out talented writers to 'find, edit and publish three to four new novels a year' – so basically finding the next real life Carrie Bradshaw.

'As a lifelong book lover, [and] as someone who treasures and admires the skill and talent of original and powerful story tellers it is my great privilege to be invited into the world and business of books.

'[It is] especially thrilling to join those who serve the rich history that is Hogarth. I so look forward to offering the readers the sort of books that have inspired my life long devotion to the written word.'

The project is a result of SJP meeting Molly Stern, the senior vice president of Hogarth, back in 2012 at a media event in New York, and hit it off due to their mutual love of reading. The two then set up a book club together, which has been meeting regularly for the last few years.

Stern said: 'From the moment we met, I was drawn to Sarah Jessica's extraordinary passion for books and her natural instinct for what makes for great writing. The Hogarth editorial team and I cannot wait to partner with her as she brings her excellent taste and infectious enthusiasm to bear in support of both writers and reading.'

According to the press release, the first instalments of SJPs publishing imprint will debut in 2018. Time to start counting down until our new favourite pageturners lunch...
