Sandra Bullock breaks marriage crisis silence

The actress has remained silent throughout her husband's affair scandal, but spoke out yesterday after claims of a sex tape broke

Sandra Bullock has kept a dignified silence ever since news of husband Jesse James' multiple affairs broke, but yesterday the sordid allegations went a step too far, and she spoke out to end the latest round of rumours.

With revelations about James' infidelity still coming thick and fast, the latest spell in the saga suggested that he was in possession of a sex tape featuring himself and his Oscar-winning wife, which he would use as leverage should they divorce.

With the rumours stepping over the line, Bullock released a statement to People magazine, stating: 'There is no sex tape. There never has been one and there never will be one.'

It is the first word from The Blind Side actress since she went into hiding after news first broke of her husband's cheating. Initial reports focused on allegations from just one woman, but now a further three have come forward, claiming to have had affairs with James.
