Robert Pattinson asked Kristen out 'a lot’

Rob has admitted that he regularly pursued his co-star for a date while filming the Twilght saga, but that she was ‘having none of it’

See? Even Robert Pattinson struggles to get a date. The 23-year-old has admitted that he used to ask out Kristen Stewart 'a lot' while they were filming the Twilight Saga together.

‘I do think Kristen is amazing. I wanted to work with her the moment I met her,' the heartthrob told OK! Magazine.

Unfortunately for Rob though, Miss Stewart wasn't so easily convinced - perhaps because she was reportedly dating actor Michael Angarano when she first began filming Twilight.

‘Our chemistry was so good. I asked her out a lot, but she wasn't having it,' he said.

But if rumours are to be believed that the pair are now officially an item - then she clearly gave in to his advances eventually. 

Rob also spoke about his newfound status as teen heartthrob, thanks to the phenomenally successful vampire franchise - based on the best-selling books by Stephanie Meyer.

‘I have been lucky, of course. Like, last year, if I went out, I'd have to fight to chat someone up,' he explained.

‘This year, I look exactly the same, which is really scruffy, and yet lots of people seem to have just changed their minds and decided I'm really sexy.'
