Prince William has been discussing new plans for Prince George’s future, less than a week on from celebrating his son’s christening alongside a doting Kate Middleton.

The Duke of Cambridge enjoyed a bit of a ‘lad’ moment this weekend as he revealed his football dreams for three-month-old baby George.

Recording a video message to mark the 150th anniversary of the Football Association, Wills spoke about taking the young heir to his first ever football match to see his team of choice, Aston Villa.

“When Villa thrash Man U at Villa Park, my son will be there,” he teasd.

Talking more about his role as FA president, Wills added: “I’ve always loved football since I was a young bow. I’ve never got any better at it, but I keep saying to myself, ‘If you keep trying, eventually something will happen’.

“It’s always meant a great deal to me being president of the FA. There’s a lot of good that football can do around the world, and in this country.

“But globally it is a huge force for good and a lot of people love, respect and enjoy their football more than anything else in their lives.

“Being president of an organisation that can reach that many people and can affect a lot of lives through sport, I think is hugely important.”

Prince William’s support seems to be news to the Aston Villa club, who may want to start preparing for the royal visit ‘in the near future’.

It’s thought that Prince Harry’s older brother has been an avid Villa supporter since his early years at Eton school, and won’t be wasting any time in introducing George to his favourite team.

We wonder if Kate Middleton will tag along on their father and son day out…
