The Spice Girls will definitely perform at the London 2012 Olympic closing ceremony this Sunday, and here's the proof!
The Spice Girls will definitely perform at the Olympics closing ceremony on Sunday night and we’ve seen the pics to prove it.
Mel B, Mel C, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton and Victoria Beckham were all spotted, microphones in hand, going through their special routine – on top of black London taxi cabs – at the Ford car plant in East London’s Dagenham.
As well as the Spice Girls, other top acts spotted at the rehearsals, obtained by The Sun, included Jessie J, Tinie Tempah, George Michael, the Pet Shop Boys and Annie Lennox.
The two-hour show on Sunday night, to mark the end of the London 2012 Olympics, promises to be spectacular and, now we know there’s 100 per cent a Spice Girls reunion on the cards, we’re practically giddy with excitement.
David Arnold, the closing ceremony’s musical director, who has written music for the Bond films, has said the Olympic Stadium spectacle, will reflect the nation as a whole.
He said: ‘We’re trying to have moments where someone from the Cotswolds watching it on TV and someone from a tower block overlooking it in the East End will be able to find something in it of which they can say, “That’s us, really that’s Britain”.’
