With Prince Harry hard at work on his Jubilee tour and the Duchess of Cambridge accompanying the Queen on a string of outings, it seems Princess Beatrice is keen to do her bit, too.

The young royal enjoyed a rather charitable evening out with boyfriend Dave Clark over the weekend, after they attended a fundraising dinner held by footballer Didier Drogba.

Dressed in matching black, the royal couple were happy to pose for pictures during the charity evening, held in a swanky suite at the Dorchester in London.

And Beatrice and Dave weren’t the only two famous faces in attendance. Whitney Port, in an All Saints heather maxi dress, Donna Air, Frank Lampard and Christine Bleakley were all at the goodwill event, while sports presenter Ben Shepherd hosted the evening.

Princess Beatrice’s charity outing comes as insiders claim the young royal is desperate to play a bigger part in the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations.

Despite featuring heavily in a BBC documentary about the Royal Family ahead of this summer’s events, Bea wasn’t assigned an overseas tour like many of her royal relatives.

Beatrice would like to play her part in marking her grandmother’s milestone,’ one insider told the Daily Mail.

‘She has a lot to offer the Royal Family, but there is a feeling the attention is being focused on William, Harry and Kate as far as the young Royals are concerned.’

It’s thought Beatrice has raised the possibility of traveling to India on behalf of the Queen, which is being ‘considered’ by palace officials.

A Buckingham Palace spokesman said the involvement of the Princess and her sister Eugenie in the rest of the celebrations will be announced ‘in due course’.
