Kate Middleton wowed in a teal green Jenny Packham creation as she attended an Olympic Games gala with Prince William
She may have been out to show her support for the Olympic Games at the star-studded gala on Friday, but it was Kate Middleton who really stole the limelight, hitting the red carpet in a stunning Jenny Packham gown.
Kate arrived on the arm of Prince William for the glittering, Our Great Team Rises event, held at London’s Royal Albert Hall to mark the start of the countdown to this summer’s Olympic Games.
Pulling out all the stops for her red carpet appearance, the Duchess of Cambridge set flashbulbs alight in a delicate teal gown, complete with capped lace shoulders and an intricate buttoned back by one her favourite designers, Jenny Packham.
And on her arm was the Prince William, looking suitably dapper in a sharp tuxedo suit.
William and Kate were joined by a host of stars and athletes at the event, including Dame Kelly Holmes, Spice Girl Mel C and Girl Aloud Kimberley Walsh.
Inside, the Duke of Cambridge entertained guests with a speech, joking: ‘Naturally, I was asked to compete for Team GB in every sport, but sadly Lord Coe said there were London pigeons with more athletic prowess than me,’ he smiled.
‘Anyway to adapt a famous phrase from Sir Steve Redgrave, if you see me in a pair of Speedos during the Olympics, shoot me!’
