Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Jason Statham welcomed their first baby this week, taking to social media to introduce their newborn son to the world.

The A-list couple confirmed the news that they were expecting a baby back in February, with the 30-year-old model and actress posting a photo of her baby bump to her 7.6 million followers.

‘Very happy to share that Jason and I are expecting!! Lots of love Rosie x', she captioned the beach snap, raking in a whopping 734k likes.

It's only fitting therefore that the new mum announced the arrival of her new son on Instagram too, posting a photo of her holding her new baby's hand on Wednesday, captioning the image 'Our little man arrived! Jack Oscar Statham 8.8lbs on Saturday June 24th.'

Rosie and Jason aren't the only celebrities to welcome babies this month, with both Beyoncé and Jay-Z and Amal and George Clooney giving birth to twins just weeks ago.

It seems like Rosie and Jason are taking a leaf out of Amal and George's book, announcing the sex and name of their baby from the word go, unlike the Carter-Knowles clan - can someone just tell us what Blue Ivy's new siblings are called already.

Congratulations to Rosie and Jason and their genetically blessed baby!
