The TV presenter has opened up about the painful period after separating from her husband

Myleene Klass may be the picture on happiness in front of the press as she sports wide smiles at celebrity events, but when her husband Graham Quinn left her earlier this year she felt as if she’d been ‘knifed’.

The classical musician told The Sun: ‘The split really felt like my heart had been knifed.

‘It’s been the hardest six months of my life, there were days when I didn’t want to get out of bed and my mum would say, "It’s OK, you are just grieving.”’

Graham, who works as a bodyguard for British bands including JLS and The Saturdays, left Myleene just six months after they got married.

The couple who had been together 12 years and have two daughters, Ava, 4, and Hero, 18 months, are now in divorce proceedings. But before she could look to the future, Myleene was understandably heartbroken.

Speaking of the months that followed the split she said: ‘It’s been devastating - the worst time of my life. For so long I was asking why this happened, but now I’ve stopped asking and I’m feeling much, much stronger after six months of pain.'

Although after a very tough few months, the singer who has a new underwear range for Littlewoods has turned a corner, adding: ‘I couldn’t have done this without my friends and family. All I want now is to move on with my life.’

We wish her all the best.
