The British star has everything under control ahead of the Golden Globes 2014 on Sunday...

Michelle Dockery has got us very excited for Sunday's Golden Globes ceremony, by revealing that she's already chosen her outfit.

The Downton Abbey star will no doubt be on the edge of her seat on the night, as she waits to see if the hit British TV show that made her famous will win the award for Best TV Drama.

And, of course, Michelle will want to look her best for the occasion. It's a good job, then, that the 32-year-old is confident with her red carpet look.

Speaking to E! News, Michelle said: 'I decided yesterday [Thursday]. I had a few to choose from. There were such amazing ones. It's hard to choose sometimes, but I'm really happy with the one I got.'

She added, 'It's always fun to play dress up.'

At last year's Golden Globe Awards, Michelle Dockery opted for an ornate gold and white floor-length gown, while for the Emmys, the actress went for a claret-coloured Prada number.

The actress also revealed what happens chez Dockery before the big ceremony.

'I have friends who will pop in and then I'll talk to my family,' she said.

And it sounds as if Jessie Ware will be serenading her on the speakers as she gets ready.

'I just love her,' Michelle said. 'I went to see her the last time I was in Los Angeles at the House of Blues and I got to meet her. I said, 'You were my 2013 Artist of the Year.''

Last year, Michelle Dockery was nominated for a Best Actress award for her role as Lady Mary in Downton Abbey. This year, she'll just be there to support the rest of the cast and crew of the hit period drama series.

However, the British programme is up against stiff competition – Breaking Bad and House of Cards are also in the same category, and both would also be well-deserved winners of the trophy.

Who would you like to see win?
