This is so lovely

Forget Brexit for a second, because there's only a matter of weeks left until Meghan Markle and Prince Harry welcome their first child.

We were always fairly sure that babies were on the cards for these two, as their reaction to children being mentioned during their wedding kind of said it all. And now, baby Sussex is due in April or May this year (yay!)

While we won't find out the name for a few weeks yet, it's been reported that the baby will have this surname, and that Meghan will reportedly invite her father and sister Samantha to the UK once he or she has been born.

The Sussexes are keeping the baby's gender a surprise until his or her arrival, but it turns out Meghan already has a present for the new arrival if it's a girl.

An old interview resurfaced last year in which Meghan shared the gift she has for her future daughter. If she has a little girl, she plans on passing down her Cartier Tank Française watch, which is engraved with a sentimental message.

'When I found out Suits had been picked up for our third season – which, at the time, felt like such a milestone – I totally splurged and bought the two tone version,' she told Hello! Canada back in 2015.

'I had it engraved on the back, "To M.M. from M.M." And I plan to give it to my daughter one day. That's what makes pieces special, the connection you have to them.'

Side note: could this be a big clue that if Meghan and Harry have a girl, her name will begin with M? The plot thickens.

We like to think the watch will become a long-held family heirloom in years to come.
