It's officially the end of the couple's seven-year marriage
Marc Anthony has filed for divorce from Jennifer Lopez.
They may have announced the end of their seven-year marriage in July, but Marc Anthony has finally served Jennifer Lopez with divorce papers.
The Latino star filed papers at LA County Superior Court on April 9 citing 'irreconcilable differences', TMZ reports.
He is asking for joint legal and physical custody of the couple's four-year-old twins, Emme and Max, and has also requested that the judge dismiss any potential claim for spouse support from Lopez.

The divorce will be the third for Lopez who was previously married to Ojani Noa for 11 months in 1998, before tying the knot with dancer Cris Judd in September 2001. It will be divorce número dos for Anthony.
During their separation Lopez and Anthony have continued to work together on their reality TV show Q'Viva! and will even perform a duet in concert on May 26.
Jennifer, 42, is currently dating 24-year-old dancer Casper Smart, while Marc, 43, has found love again with Venezuelan model Shannon De Lima.
