Madonna impressed us all with her Daenerys Targaryen costume this week. It was certainly better than any fancy dress costume we've ever put together.

But it turns out the Material Girl pulled a few strings to get the most authentic look possible.

Emilia Clarke, who plays the Mother of Dragons on Game of Thrones, revealed that Madonna actually borrowed one of her real corsets and dresses for her costume.

'I got an email [from HBO's publicity department] asking "Madonna wants to borrow the costume is that okay?,"' she explained to Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show. 'I was like "I must be dreaming."'

Madonna shared a snap of her costume (which she wore for the Jewish holiday of Purim) via Instagram, writing: 'Happy Purim!!!!! All Hail All Queens!'

But Madonna isn't the only one who wants to channel Emilia's badass character. Jimmy revealed that he had also dressed up as Daenerys.
