Lorde Is In Charge Of The Hunger Games Mockingjay – Part 1 Soundtrack

The 17-year-old will curate the Hunger Games movie soundtrack and record a single.

Lorde has been given the big job of curating the Hunger Games Mockingjay – Part 1 soundtrack.

This is what we know, so far:

1. Lorde will hand-pick the artists for the soundtrack to The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1.

2. She will also record the lead single for the movie.

3. She announced the news on Twitter, saying she was ‘so pleased and proud to have been announced the sole curator.’

4. The movie’s director, Francis Lawrence, said that Lorde’s single has completely captured the film’s essence. ‘Her immense talent and keen understanding of Mockingjay’s characters and themes not only had enabled her to create a song of her own that completely captures the film’s essence, but her insight and passion for our project make her the perfect creative force to assembled the other songs on our soundtrack,’ he said.

Hunger Games Mockingjay – Part 1 hits cinemas 21 November.
