Brigitte Bardot's Paris apartment is up for sale, and it's yours for the taking (if you're a millionaire)
Brigitte Bardot – lover of Serge Gainsbourg, gap-toothed beauty, ultimate 1960s style icon – is one of our favourite fashion pin-ups.
And now it looks like we could get a little bit closer to the beautiful Brigitte, with the news that her former fabulous Parisian home is up for sale. There’s just the small matter of the rather spenny price tag though – £5.1m, to be precise.
The Art Noveau home boasts ten opulent rooms and three bedrooms each with their own bathroom. Built in 1902, the house is located in the 16th arrondissement of Paris.
And it’s everything you would expect from the glamorous model, actress and singer. White marble, deep-red walls, velvet drapes, polished mahogany: this is a house that is the very definition of luxury.
Now 79, this is the home Brigitte shared with her third husband, the German millionaire Gunter Sachs, to whom she was married in 1966.
Although their marriage may have ended three years later, it looks like this apartment was designed for fun – among the ten rooms is a disco, as well as a billiards room.
So if you’re in the market for a piece of 1960s history, and of course, to rest your head on the same pillow as the glorious Ms Bardot, then you better start saving…
