Lily Cole lands her second film role in Terry Gilliam movie
MODEL LILY COLE is set for Hollywood stardom after landing her second film role.
The 19-year-old, who frequently graces the catwalk for some of the biggest designers’ shows, is carving out a movie career for herself after being signed up to star in Terry Gilliam’s next major film.
Lily is on her second gap year before taking up her place at Cambridge university. She is set to play a teenage daughter who becomes possessed by the devil in Gilliam’s surreal big screen venture, The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus.
Joining the supermodel will be Christopher Plummer who will play her father and Heath Ledger.
Lily has already taken a turn in front of the camera playing schoolgirl Polly in the new St Trinian’s film, released in December.
An industry insider said of Lily’s latest career move: ‘Terry has been very impressed with Lily and thinks she has a real future as a film actress. Terry’s long had a reputation for spotting young talent and helped launched the career of Uma Thurman when she starred in The Adventures of Baron Munchausen.’
